The NHL has announced that Miami will host the 2026 NHL Winter Classic, in an outdoor ice hockey game. The event will be held at loanDepot park (formerly Marlins Stadium) on Jan. 2, 2026. The Florida Panthers will return to Miami for the first time since 1998. They will face the New York Rangers. The game will be held with the roof open. A judge has ordered the City of Miami Beach to reinstate two-way car traffic on Ocean Drive, according to the Herald.
